I do Twitter quite frequently: http://twitter.com/donaldleegraham or as you can see in the right side bar it is displayed there as well.
Twitter is really nothing more than a micro-blogging tool (when you post an item on there it is called a “Tweet”, which if you use frequently and share with others can be a very effective networking & marketing tool.
The purpose is to keep the blog post under 140 character so that people can convenient see what you are doing, and frankly they don’t have to sort through a lot of content that doesn’t interest them. Another thing you can do is comment on another people’s tweets.
Not only can you post Tweets via the online website, but easily from any mobile phone that has text messaging. Which I use this method most of the time for the majority of my posts.
I’ve been using my very frequently over the last 6 months or so and it has been a very great networking tool for me to connect with other programmers, design, eLearning developer, and executives of other companies.
If you take a look at my Twitter page you will see my blog post from today “New blog post: ARTICLE: The 10 Most Worthless College Majors”; yesterday I “ designing menus for the new Hilton Garden Inn”, blah, blah, blah….
WHY SHOULD YOU TWITTER? For you it can being a good networking and a fabulous little marketing tool. The biggest thing is to religiously post at least once a day about something you are doing for one of your projects.
To get started simply goto to the website and sign up for an account. If you want to use mobile text messaging thats easy to setup as well.
Give it a try and if you have any questions leave a message or hit me up on Skype in the evening. My Skype is: donaldleegraham

Twitter, I love my Twitter and my Tweet Peeps. My first month was enlightening, by my fourth Twitter had become a daily tool in sharing and communication throughout my networks. Excellent tool to building relationships through communication, either personally or professionally.
Yes, but what is the benefit to your web site or your digital persona?
Hey I am really trying to be computer savvy and move into the new age of gadgets, BUT does anyone pick up a phone and speak with each other anymore, or have coffee at public places. Are we ALL that afraid of one another? I crave human contact, computers ARE okay but maybe to hear a voice and not on one of those 800 or 900 number lines. Just asking, I may be the only one who still believes the mass majority of people mean NO harm to anyone, however, you have that minority who continue to act really ugly.
For me personally, 25 year old corporate developer, I use the phone all of the time, but 90% of it is SMS/TXT messages. Since writing this well over a year ago my Twitter usages has dropped a bit, but I still am constantly communicating via various digital technologies. I strongly suggest using whatever you are comfortable with, but always try out the new methods. I’m currently private beta testing Google Wave and it is definitely different and has huge potential!
