If you are like me you find yourself spending a good amount of time searching the web, blogs and RSS feeds searching for the latest news on topics that peak my interest.
This morning when I logged into my email I saw a beta invitation from Evri . I put my name on the list for an invite a day or so ago. I was excited to get a chance to see what this was all about, especially since their tag line is “search less. understand more. “ Searching less sound good to me!
I logged in and noticed a very clean, minimalist approach to the user interface design. The layout was logical and easy to understand. I started playing with the beta app and click Barack Obama and it returned 5 of the top news stories about Obama as well as 5 of the top related categories: U.S., Bill Clinton, Ralph Nader, Hillary Rodham Clinton and John McCain. Seeing Nader on the list peaked my curiosity so I clicked on him to see the relation between Obama and Nader. This displayed 5 stories about the two men. You can click on the story and it will redirect you to the article wherever it is on the internet.
Evri is a pretty impressive, simple web application. They asked for feedback so I shot them an email this in response. The only negative that I see here is that my generation also known as the “Google Generation ” is used to just that…. scouring the web via Google. Evri provides a very different approach to searching.
Is Evri the Twitter of Digg?
Twitter is a micro-blogging webapp. Evri is a micro-news aggregation webapp. Its Digg without all of the extra crap that bores you. With Envi you decide what you view. Should be interesting what product comes out of the beta.
Go to: http://www.evri.com/ and sign up for the beta and check it out for yourself.

i love to Twitter my day to day activities to my friends and followers. Twitter is much better than blogging because it is direct to the point and does not require you to type so many unnecessary words.
