Just making a quick observance and summary of my interactions with friends, colleagues and people I interact with… it seems like their has been an overwhelming shadow of something… Not quite sure what it is exactly, but that is the purpose of this posts.
I’ve seen some feeling down, discouraged, pessimistic, angry and overall hopeless about life, their job, the future, etc…
Who or what is responsible for this? It seems to be tied to the economy in some way. So I propose the question to you, what started it? Is it the economy causing everyone to feel gloomy OR is it the people were unsatisified with their status quo and they caused the economy to take a down-turn?
I feel it is the latter. You may ask how could the people be responsible? Simple, short answer… BAD CREDIT! 2nd mortgages, more credit cards, etc… all just to make their world seem better because of more stuff.
Ultimately, stuff cant bring happiness! It can bring some entertainment, but not true happiness! Invest your time in colleagues, friends, religion, community, etc… and most importantly family!
Just some food for thought!

The last year plus, has truly been a good time for my startups, specifically TRImagination.
I have learned more about business and technology in the last 14 months than I ever did in college. With TRImagination we have dedicated that last year plus, to R&D, not we have schematics, a solid business model and we are just missing that one key ingredient… FUNDING! Yeah I know, it is almost an oxymoron with the state of our economy!
For those who don’t know what TRImagination is, it is a technology, educational startups focused on building a better digital textbook. Yeah that is a vague description… if you want to know more.. email me.
Initially we were seeking $250-350k to get this running, then the economy tanked and we’ve had to revise our plan. Now we are seeking a small investment amount (preferably from an angel investor) to cover the cost of developing enterprise-scalable technology. We already have a developer on stand-by just need a small round funding.
If you know of anyone that has a passion for educational technology and really wants to make a difference send them our way.
Cheers,
Lee

The much awaited day has arrived… Morfunk’s Outpost (iPhone/iPod Touch Basecamp Project Management App) is live in the iTunes store!
I received a copy of the app to install on my iPod Touch (before it was stolen… some bastard) to evaluate.
So I installed the app and synced it with my Basecamp account and started to play with it. My first impression on this new project management app for my Touch was WOW! The Morfunk Team really did put a lot of time in effort the user experience and the layout was amazing.
Outpost Pros:
- Clean interface
- Very logical layout
- Fabulous user experience
- GREAT price!
Outpost Cons:
- Kind of slow Sync initially, but this is a 37signals issue NOT an Outpost issue.
Overall, I think Outpost provides a much better and usable product than their competitor: AppRemix Projects. Outpost provides a great PM application to manage your Basecamp projects on the go when you are not able to manage them from your computer.
Morfunk’s Outpost is THE iPhone project management tool for 2009!

Well, my first of many New Year’s Resolutions is completed!!!
This is the first of many similar site that I will be launching over the next few months.
I have the site and advertising framework completed and I will be franchising these to other people who would like to do similar sites in their city. No IT experience is necessary, just need to be a good writer!
I have 4 more chi.mp beta invites left for people that message me on Twitter.
chi.mp is:
“Chi.mp stands for “Content Hub & Identity Management Platform”
Chi.mp’s service lets you register your own .mp domain and gives you a free Web site that serves as a hub for your content across the Web. Your chi.mp site also gives you one place to bring together and manage all your contacts in one “Ultimate Black Book”. Chi.mp lets you own and define “digital you” and to share different versions of “digital you” with your selected contacts.
With chi.mp, you own and control your identity, your content and your contacts. This is not the case with typical social networks.”
Benefits of chi.mp:
“Centralize Your Identity
Your online identity consists of content (blog entries, photos, videos, tweets, etc.) and your contacts and friends. The problem is, your content and contacts are scattered across any number of sites (Facebook, Gmail, Yahoo Mail, Flickr, Wordpress, YouTube, Twitter, etc.). As a result, your online identity is fragmented.
Your chi.mp site lets you import all of your content and contacts into one place – creating your centralized online identity.”

In the recent weeks, the automobile industry has been at the core of the media’s focus on the $15 billion dollar bailout. Personally, I think this is a huge mistake, unless it calls for the resignation of the current leaders of these companies, better accountability system and an entire overhaul of the production and distribution processes.
If you compare the United States to European countries such as Germany, we drive many more larger vehicles than they do. If you walk around Berlin you would be hard pressed to find a SUV or a pickup trucks. The majority of what you would see are cars and the occasional van.
Why is this? A couple possible reasons include:
- Fuel consumptions is much less in cars than large automobiles.
- In places such as Berlin, space is at a premium, so cars, especially Minis and other small cars are more ideal.
